As Customer Insights Research Lead, you will be part of the Customer Insights Circle. This is a company-wide team, combined with co-workers who see research as part of their job, but who have their main responsibilities in for instance UX design, data analysis, or marketing. You will be the fully dedicated research lead on the team. You will push our qualitative & quantitative customer- and user research to a higher level. You do this both by conducting research yourself and by improving the research practice within the organization.

How you add value

As a Customer Insight Research Lead, your main task will be to create and maintain a vision on how user and customer research is done at Priva. You do this by safeguarding proper use of techniques & methods for research goals. In this role, you will collaborate with the UX team, product owners and marketing teams on an ongoing basis to integrate research operations. You will autonomously lead end-to-end research studies. You design and conduct studies utilizing methods, such as field research, surveys, user/usability testing (remote and in-person), and any other methods you know are impactful to the specific project. You track the impact of past research and optimize efforts for speed and quality of insights.


You will increase awareness and sense of urgency of customer centricity in the Priva organization and the role of research in achieving so. You drive the process of turning insights into actions by informing product, portfolio, and organizational strategy. You provide strategy for how to mature user research skills across the organization. You mentor and support stakeholders from Marketing, Product Development, and Sales teams and you own and maintain a company-wide knowledge repository with customer and user insights and proactively share our knowledge.


Who you are

Ideally, you have participated in, or led, a dedicated research team before. You are ready to apply your experience in an organization that is maturing the discipline. What else do you bring?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a human behavior-related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a researcher using multiple qualitative and quantitative methods, with a strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables in the field of conducting qualitative interviews, remote user testing, ethnographic research, benchmarking, survey design, and data analysis.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role, where you led and designed quantitative and qualitative research projects with demonstrated impact and you mentored others.
  • Excellent English communication & influencing skills and comfort with group speaking. You know how to tell a story from our customer’s perspective, and enjoy interfacing with stakeholders, such as those of our key partners and customers, and internal teams.
  • Affinity with digital products designed for a complex and hi-tech domain.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile organization.


What you get

In numbers:

  • A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 4.500,- and € 5.750,- based on 40 hours a week;

  • Travel allowance of € 0,19/km with a daily maximum of 150 kilometers.
