Your future ecosystem
Join our highly skilled product development whose joint goal is to make smart, scalable solutions in the horticulture and smart building domains. These multidisciplinary teams are formed by Product Owners, Back and Frond End Developers, Tester and there is a separate pool of UX designers. Scrum Masters facilitate the development process while the People Manager structures the teams and facilitates growth through personal development. Around 50 of our technical colleagues are within the span of control of this role.

Between Rotterdam and The Hague, you find the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland”, where our campus is located in De Lier. In these 100 square kilometers, Priva was founded in the fifties and is still a family business.

Priva started as a hardware company and transformed into an innovative software company that grew to become the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software, and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving, and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels, and hospitals.

Our next step is to conquer the digital domain and become a digital service provider, selling subscriptions to "climate as a service".

We are proud to be working with over 600 colleagues, in 16 international branch offices divided over 12 countries together with over 400 international installation partners to deliver our sustainable solutions and services in more than 100 countries.


How you add value
First, you are responsible for the most important asset in our Product Development department, our people. Make sure that we place the right people in the right teams within our high-tech Product Development Department. Collaborate with Recruitment and hire the best potential who can realize our ambitious, and high technological vision.

Further build on a culture of self-organization, continuous learning, and ownership. You make this happen by continuously looking at ways in which people can take action to improve the way they do their work and by working on their development. Where necessary you (temporarily) take the lead to ensure that the changes land with the people and within the teams; after which you step back to focus on the next challenge


Also, make sure our colleagues keep up with the ever-faster-changing technology. By applying self-organization principles and giving the right frameworks to people. By encouraging continuous feedback, you give people an honest mirror of where they stand and where they have room to grow. Offer support to colleagues who need this and offer opportunities to colleagues who are ready for the next step and encourage people to work on their growth and guide them in their development. Ensure that people get the right reward for their contribution. And if the employment relationship cannot continue for whatever reason, you will ensure a proper settlement together with HR.


Job requirements


Who you are
We are on the lookout for a pragmatic, tech-savvy colleague with a servant leadership style. Furthermore, we will read your resume to find:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a leadership position;
  • Experience with teams working according to Agile Principles (e.g., Scrum)
  • A bachelor's or master’s degree with/or additional relevant courses or training showing continuous learning;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch

In numbers:

  • A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 5.000,- and € 6.500,- based on 40 hours a week and a variable income based on performance and personal development;
