In these 100 square kilometers, Priva was founded in the fifties. An innovative second-generation owned family business. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels and hospitals.

You’ll be part of the new Corporate Communication department at HQ. Furthermore, you will be in close contact with the global marketing teams of Priva Horticulture and Building Automation

As our Media Officer, PR & exposure specialist and Spokesman you:

  • Know how to use the power of word and image;
  • Are responsible for boosting and protecting the image and reputation of Priva. You know how to trigger and mobilize opinion leaders, experts, stakeholders, trendwatchers and media;
  • Translate the Priva strategy into powerful stories and effective exposure strategies;
  • Know how to extract news and relevant stories from the organization;
  • Create news value; the first one inside Priva to set up a media network, media events and targeted press initiatives;
  • Increase the visibility of Priva through framing, storytelling and an effective PR approach;
  • you take care that our board, management and as well our different international branch offices, are well informed regarding PR, Crisis Communications and other related and relevant topics;
  • Have expertise in (strategic) partnerships activation;
  • Understand that our different business units need a differentiated approach and that recent developments of Priva and our industry are translated into relevant news stories and proof points;
  • have the lead in the crisis communication protocol.


Who you are

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic colleague who can work independently, sees the greater picture and is capable to work from there. Furthermore, we will read your resume to find:

  • At least 7 years in Media and PR, experience in crisis communications;
  • Bachelor or master level degree in a related field;
  • Verbally strong and flexible and able to talk with the different layers and stakeholders throughout the organization including C-level;
  • A strong track record of working in marketing and PR in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experienced in dealing with media contacts, social media and working across multiple countries;
  • Excellent Dutch and English (writing) skills, preferable an extra foreign language;

Pre: network in the government, investors and horticultural world.


What you get

  • A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 4.250,- and € 6.000,- based on 40 hours a week;

  • Travel allowance of € 0,19/km with a daily maximum of 150 kilometers.
