Position Within the Company

Reports to the Customer Support Centre Manager


Purpose of the Position

With your substantive labour and management experience, you will be responsible for providing a variety of services to the horticulture industry by increasing labour efficiency, tracking crop statistics and providing management with actionable information. You ensure the correct implementation and delivery of solutions to the customer, as well as providing sound technicaladvice and training to partners and end-users to optimize their labour processes.

Description of Responsibilities


Support:

  • Provide commissioning to Priva products through the testing of hardware, implementing software, maintaining and update products as required
  • Providing help desk support to partners and end-users
  • Supporting colleagues and partners by assisting sales team pre and post sales
  • Clear support with project managers – working with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate with sales team about up-and-cross selling
  • Prepare project applications; translate Priva products and software into complete solutions for the customer
  • Prepare and deliver training presentations to end-users and partners
  • Provide technical advice to customer


Safety

  • When performing the function, use personal protective equipment in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Compliance with safety instructions.


Availability

  • Frequent Travel as required. Travel throughout North America


Knowledge retention

  • Continuous collection and updating and safeguarding of own knowledge.
  • Training colleagues through mentorship.
  • Transfer practical knowledge of systems and software to end users and partners


Communication

  • Maintains contact with colleagues, dealers, and end users about the work to be performed, the status and the progress of the work


Job Requirements


Knowledge

  • Must have a generic understanding of management information, labour registration, and production registration
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, and MS SQL Server, and using CRM packages
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT principles encompassing, networks, hardware, software, etc.
  • Understanding of labor compliance rules and regulations is a plus
  • Commercial inclination with strong written and verbal skills
  • Able to work within crossover projects, where technology from different markets comes together
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with scheduled deadlines
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting: electrical equipment, computer networks, and application issues


Experience

  • 5 years Greenhouse Labour Management/Supervisory experience or equivalent experience managing labour processes within the Horticultural Industry
  • Five years of relevant work experience utilizing a labour management system
  • Proven experience in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the provision of technical services
