Job description

Leading product realization and market delivery as our Project Manager

Your future ecosystem
Within this role as Project Manager, you work closely together with Product Owners, Architects, and Hardware Engineers within Product Development, besides your collaboration with the 3rd party development partners. Also, you closely collaborate with our Fulfillment department when it comes to purchasing, warehouse, and delivery. You will be part of the hardware team, consisting of Hardware Engineers and Project Management.

Between Rotterdam and The Hague, you find the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland”, where our campus is located in De Lier. In these 100 square kilometers, Priva was founded in the fifties and is still a family business.

Priva started as a hardware company and transformed into an innovative software company that grew to become the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels and hospitals.

Our next step is to conquer the digital domain and become a digital service provider, selling subscriptions to "climate as a service".

We are proud to be working with over 600 colleagues, in 16 international branch offices divided over 12 countries together with over 400 international installation partners to deliver our sustainable solutions and services in more than 100 countries.

Job requirements

How you add value
The Priva embedded systems are the fundament on which our propositions are built. We are well known for our reliable and stable hardware and embedded software with which we create optimal environmental conditions. As a Project Manager, you lead the hardware realization projects from beginning to end.

Hardware and embedded technology are changing at a fast pace, and so are our customers’ needs. Devices become more connected and integrated. Parts of our portfolio need to transition towards this new state to become future-proof and maintainable. This requires projects to realize new hardware devices to provide the control systems that solve our future customer's challenges.

You closely collaborate with the Product Owner Embedded Systems who provides you with the project scope and needs of the intended solutions. Where you lead the project when it comes to the hardware realization at our 3rd party development partners (electronics, mechanics, certifications, etc.), the Product Owner Embedded Systems will realize the embedded software, which combined can be brought to market.

With your helicopter view and emphatic communication skills you are able to bridge the distinct worlds of Agile (embedded) software development teams working in short iterations and the waterfall-based (V-model), the cross-organization project team for hardware realization.
