How You Add Value

Are you passionate about leading a hardware team and creating the structure needed for high-quality product development? As a Hardware Team Lead, you play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the hardware team and ensuring priorities, processes, and ways of working are clear, effective, and aligned with business goals.

You help the team deliver reliable hardware solutions by bringing focus, planning, and consistency to the development process. Working closely with product management, project managers, systems engineering, software, quality, and external development partners, you ensure the team is organized, supported, and able to perform at its best.

This role combines team coordination, delivery focus, process improvement, and some project management support. You create the conditions for strong execution while continuously improving how the team works together and with others.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be the primary interface and first point of contact for internal teams and external partners into the Hardware team

  • Define, coordinate and manage the internal and external communication paths and processes

  • In collaboration with the project managers, coordinate the activities, priorities, and workload of the hardware team across development and maintenance projects 

  • Translate business and project objectives into clear team plans, aligned priorities, and realistic execution timelines 

  • Implement and maintain an effective risk management process

  • Build a structured and traceable approach to requirements, verification, documentation, and change management

  • Define clear interfaces and collaboration models within the organization and with our external partners 

  • Help the team identify and remove blockers, manage dependencies, and escalate risks when needed 

  • Monitor progress, quality, and delivery performance, and ensure actions are followed up 

  • Contribute to resource planning and capacity management 

  • Coach team members in effective collaboration, ownership, and disciplined execution 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, practical problem-solving, and reliable delivery 

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related technical field 

  • At least 7 years of experience in hardware development, electronics engineering, or embedded product development 

  • Experience in coordinating engineering teams or leading multidisciplinary hardware development activities 

  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles, from concept and requirements through validation, release, and maintenance 

  • Experience with project coordination, planning, prioritization, and risk management in a technical environment 

  • Proven ability to implement or improve development processes, governance, and ways of working 

  • Experience working with external development partners

  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, pragmatic approach to execution 

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders around priorities and decisions 

  • A quality-driven mindset with attention to long-term maintainability, reliability, and team effectiveness
