Job description
Between Rotterdam and The Hague lies the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland,” where our campus is located in De Lier. Priva was founded here in the 1950s and remains a family business to this day.
Priva began as a hardware company and has evolved into an innovative software company, becoming the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today, we are a high-tech company developing hardware, software, and digital services in climate control, energy efficiency, and optimal water reuse. We serve horticulture, indoor and city farming, and utility buildings such as offices, retail spaces, hotels, and hospitals.
We are proud to work with over 600 colleagues across 16 international branch offices in 12 countries, alongside more than 400 international installation partners, delivering sustainable solutions in over 100 countries.
UX Product Designer - How You Add Value
We’re looking for a UX Product Designer to join our Platform team. Within Priva, the Platform domain plays a key role in enabling scalable, secure, and consistent digital services across all product lines in the two other domains (Horticulture and Building Automation). This role is two-sided: working in the product team responsible for Identity & Access Management (IAM) and as UX representative to govern and mature the Design System.
In this role, you will directly impact how users securely access, manage, and control permissions across Priva’s ecosystem—both for internal users and external partners. You will design experiences that make complex concepts such as authentication, authorization, user lifecycle management, and group-based access intuitive, transparent, and reliable.
In addition, you will help shape My Priva, where users manage their identity and interactions across products, not only as a clear and trusted entry point, but also by defining the strategic role it plays across the end-to-end user journey. This means designing how My Priva becomes the central place where users can move seamlessly between services and build a consistent mental model of the Priva ecosystem.
As a UX Product Designer in Platform, you will work end-to-end, from early concepts through to implementation, taking ownership of the full design lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with your development team (Product Managers, MarCom, Developers, Testers), but you are also encouraged to engage directly with customers, end-users, and stakeholders to research, validate, and iterate on real-world workflows and needs. Because Identity and Access Management sits at the core of the platform, your work will influence multiple products and domains, requiring a strong understanding of cross-product user journeys and how users interact with the broader ecosystem.
As part of the UX community and as a member of the Design System team, you’ll help shape a consistent, user-centered experience across the full suite of our applications. You will also have an influence on the UX strategy while continuously developing your skills through feedback and collaboration with your fellow designers.
