Job description

Your future ecosystem

Within the Priva water and sensors team, we maintain and develop innovative water systems and sensors (systems) for the horticultural market. The team consists of product specialists, product engineers, 3D-designers and is led by 2 product owners. This diverse team operates autonomously, managing the Priva portfolios for water and sensor products.

The Priva water systems portfolio consists of 2 main product groups, fertilizer injection and disinfection systems. The Priva sensor portfolio consists of various sensor (systems) focused on meteorological, environmental, and plant measurements. The water and sensor team works in close collaboration with the other Priva development team responsible for interfacing, hardware, software and digital service developments.

How you add value

This role is pivotal in achieving team goals which consist of enhancing the functionality and quality of our sensors and sensor systems. It involves defining functional specifications and technical requirements while ensuring they meet Priva standards. You are able to translate rough ideas from concepts and ideas into concrete designs, followed by executing tests and validations.

You will be responsible for the engineering of new and existing sensors and sensor systems, which can be completely new designs or modifying existing designs, and validating compliance with set requirements. Post-design and construction support is also crucial, including redesigning and maintaining the existing portfolio and addressing support queries, often from international customers and partners.

Additionally, the role requires approval and validation of technical drawings before production or engineering stages, developing 3D concepts, and ensuring prototype accuracy. As a product engineer, you can independently manage small projects and updates.
