Today, we are a high-tech company developing hardware, software, and digital services in climate control, energy efficiency, and optimal water reuse. We serve horticulture, indoor and city farming, and utility buildings such as offices, retail spaces, hotels, and hospitals.

We are proud to work with over 600 colleagues across 16 international branch offices in 12 countries, alongside more than 400 international installation partners, delivering sustainable solutions in over 100 countries.

UX Product Designer - How You Add Value

We’re looking for a UX Product Designer to join our Building Automation team, with a focus on the Operational stage of smart building management.

In this position, you will have a direct impact on the user experience of digital products and services designed for the operational phase of advanced building automation systems. This involves shaping tools that support the daily management of indoor environments, enable timely notifications, and offer data-driven analytics to promote efficiency and sustainability.

The core focus of the Operational stage is equipping facility managers with intuitive applications for tasks such as adjusting schedules, modifying set points, and responding to real-time issues. These tools help ensure comfortable conditions for occupants and allow for quick adaptation whenever needs change. Instant notifications keep teams informed, so problems are addressed without delay.

Additionally, optimization and analytics tools empower managers to enhance energy efficiency, plan predictive maintenance, and proactively tackle issues. Built-in reporting functions streamline compliance with regulations. Altogether, these features enable facility managers to maintain productivity, improve comfort, and reduce operational costs through smarter energy use.

As a UX Product Designer, you will be instrumental in creating these tools, ensuring they are user-friendly and effective in achieving our sustainability goals. You’ll work hands-on from concept to implementation, designing new features or improving existing ones, while balancing both technical performance and intuitive usability. You’ll collaborate closely with your development team (Product Owner, Product Managers, Developers, Testers), but you are also encouraged to engage directly with customers, end-users, and stakeholders to research, validate, and iterate on real-world workflows and needs.

As a member of our UX expertise group and in close collaboration with the Design System team, you’ll help shape a consistent, user-centred experience across the full suite of our applications. Moreover, you'll also have influence on UX strategy and keep growing your skills through feedback and collaboration with your peer designers.

Understanding the broader context is essential. While your main focus will be on the Building Automation Operational services, gaining basic awareness of the other domains within Priva (Horticulture, Platform, and Building Automation – Realization) will help you better understand end-to-end user journeys and the technical ecosystem in which our users operate.
