Job description

One of Priva’s exiting, new departments: ECO is one of the core building blocks of Priva’s next chapter - a lean, innovative team operating with startup agility inside an established global organisation.

Software Engineer ECO – Why this role matters

As part of the team, you help shape the future of the Netherlands by developing the technology that directly supports the country’s energy transition. Our ambitions extend far beyond national borders, with plans to bring this innovation to the global market. What you will be doing

  • Designing and developing the core backend and data‑driven components that power ecoBuilding and Plantonomy™, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and ready for the next phase of growth.

  • Collaborating closely with data scientists, fellow engineers, and product stakeholders to turn complex energy‑transition challenges into elegant technical solutions.

  • Improving and extending the platform’s underlying architecture, strengthening performance, resilience, and long‑term maintainability as we move from startup mode to scale‑up.

  • Building for impact, contributing code that supports real‑world energy optimisation across global markets.

  • You are based in the Netherlands, and we would like to see you two (in the event of a long commute) to three times a week in the office.
