Your future ecosystem

Join our team as a Solution Architect, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing cutting-edge solutions for our clients. You'll be part of the IT department, reporting to the IT Manager. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of talented professionals who are passionate about our products and services.


Between Rotterdam and The Hague, you find the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland”, where our campus is located in De Lier. In these 100 square kilometers, Priva was founded in the fifties and is still a family business.


Priva started as a hardware company and transformed into an innovative software company that grew to become the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels and hospitals.


We are proud to be working with over 600 colleagues, in 16 international branch offices in 12 countries together with over 400 international installation partners to deliver our sustainable solutions and services in more than 100 countries.

How you add value
Your key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative technical solution designs. You utilize your expertise to create detailed designs and technical specifications that guide the development team in implementing solutions and design solutions that are scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.


Additionally, you develop a comprehensive application roadmap aligned with business objectives and technology trends and establish and maintain an architectural landscape overview that provides a holistic view of the organization's IT infrastructure and applications.


Your role also involves communicating technical concepts and architectural decisions clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring adherence to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to architecture and design. You lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives requiring architectural guidance, facilitate training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to explore architectural best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning.


Finally, stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, you evaluate their potential impact on the organization's architecture and recommend adoption strategies.

Job requirements

Who you are
you are a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities. You excel at balancing technical feasibility with business needs, ensuring that solutions are not only technically robust but also deliver tangible value to the business. Furthermore, we will read your resume to find:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • LEAN Black or Green Belt certification, or a commitment to achieving it;
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions;
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles and best practices;
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch, both orally and in writing;
  • Currently living in the Netherlands.

  • A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 5.000,- and € 6.000,- based on 40 hours a week;

  • Travel allowance of € 0,23/km with a daily maximum of 240 kilometers or fully reimbursed public transport costs;
